STAN LUCA
MAUREEN "MO" KELLY
ENZO "PINKY" LORENZO
Atlantic City Boardwalk psychic and amateur detective who communicates with the dearly departed. These conversations often involve "spirit helpers" - ghosts of the deceased now inhabiting other bodies or objects. Spirit-helpers assist Stan with his cases, though often cryptically.
Mo is Stan's soul-mate. When she's not serving food at Joey's Italian Bar and Grill she's reading pulp detective novels and helping Stan's investigations. Thanks to her hard-boiled alter-ego of a 1940s Private Eye and tips she's learned from her pulp heroes, she's as quick to spot a clue as she is to spout one of her noir parody one-liners
Pinky never met a story he didn't embellish - or claim to be the hero of. He's usually got something going with one of his 'cuginos' - which usually goes sideways. Pinky hangs out with his "special guys" at Vito's barbershop where communication is a mix of Italian, English, and hand gestures.
MAURICE THE MAGNIFICENT
JENNY AOKI
NOAH
Unofficial leader of the Badasses of the Boards (Stan, Maurice, Jenny, Noah, and Dave). Is a full-blown wizard whose cover is performing a kids' magic show at the Playground Pier.
Jenny Aoki comes from a long line of shape-shifters. Her abilities have gotten Stan, Mo, and the Badasses out of many jams. An elementary school principal, she's known for her sense of humor.
Noah. As the sole inheritor of his father's patent on coin-operated toll machines used on the Garden State Parkway, Noah spends his time in various philanthropic efforts. His special gift of invisibility has helped Stan and Mo put bad guys in difficult situations.
DAVE KING
JOHN WEBBER
MRS. BARONE
Dave King owns the Pork Roll King Sandwich Shop on the Boardwalk. He's a telekinetic which comes in handy when the Badasses find themselves in difficult situations. It's also helpful when his restaurant gets really busy.
John Webber has lived at 140 South Virginia Avenue longer than any other tenant - including Stan. A retired railroad conductor, John works part time taking tickets at a local movie theater "to earn a little date money." John has plenty of stories about misbehaving movie-goers, which usually begin with, "It all started when some college students..."
Mrs. Barone lives down the hall from Stan's apartment at 140 South Virginia Ave. She's an expert in Italian spells and curses and somehow knows things before they happen.
TRUCKIN' LEONARD
CHIP THE COP
PINKY'S "GUYS" AT VITO'S
Truckin' Leonard owns the Toke 'N' Hippie head shop, Atlantic City's #1 destination for those seeking a freaky-deaky time at the shore. The "Toke" is one of five stores that share the Boardwalk-facing building with Stan's psychic parlor. Leonard is a gentle soul and his clients, save for the occasional roach clip, are well-behaved. Leonard's favorite expression: "Gnarly."
Chip the Cop is among Atlantic City's finest. He's an honorary Badasses having provided insights and expertise to help Stan, Mo, Jenny, Noah, and Dave keep a lid on crime.
Vito's Barber Shop on Atlatic Avenue is home to Pinky's "special guys." Sometimes referred to as "the chairs," these men speak in a mix of English, Italian, and body language as they manicured by attractive women who all seem to wear tight sweaters.
